I just wanted to add a review on here since we have all had to battle the Canadian wild fires smoke spreading across the states. I cannot imagine what they all are going thru and my prayers go out to all of them. You never really know how well a product works until it is truly put to the test. Well this air cleaner has kept my home clean and smoke free even on the most dangerous of days of air quality. My office at work was pretty bad. We could smell it everywhere in our building. So this product has spoken volumes to me with its performance in recent days. It was worth the investment! Thank you Blue Air for keeping us safe at home.

Purchased the Blue Pure 311i+ Max unit for a space that totals 545 square feet. The unit is doing everything the manufacturer says it will do. I keep it on auto and the machine adjusts itself when it detects pollution. I used hairspray near the unit once and it increased the fan speed to clean the air. It returned to auto when the space was clean. I run the fan on 2 for about an hour if I find allergies are bad. We have had two different name brand air purifiers in 6 years, this one is superior.

I bought the Blueair Blue Pure 311i+ Max based on Consumer Reports’ ratings — it’s powerful for my 150 sq ft bedroom, even though it’s rated for up to 439 sq ft. Setup was easy, the app works well with no subscription fee (as of March 2026), and the auto mode intelligently adjusts fan speed during cooking or dust events. However, the plastic build feels cheap for the price, the power cord is short (~5 ft), and filter options are confusing — I had to pay extra to get the allergenblock filter I wanted. Online shopping was messy, especially on Amazon where model numbers are buried. Still, it’s quiet, effective, and beats DIY in long-term value. Recommended — but with caveats.

I was disappointed in the silver base as it is too large for this model. It probably is meant for a larger model. I found out later you didn't need the silver base but I had already bought it. At first I worried the cat would knock cleaner over as it isn't fastened to base. It is just loosely sitting on base. Cat initially checked cleaner out but now ignores it.
