    Great Purchase

Bought this a month ago. It's a little noisy but expected from a unit this size.

You can only hear it on the highest setting

It has 3 settings and an auto mode.

I usually set it to auto.

I opted for the classic as it has an industrial feel about it.

Like they took time caring about its performance and features without spending too much time on its aesthetics.

Not doing the job it should and support is poor

I bought this in 2017 and, like another reviewer who bought in the same year, I'm also having issues with high PM 2.5 readings. The retailer referred me to Blueair for a reset with my MAC number, that settled thing, but the same issue has arisen within 2 months. Blueair want to do another reset, but surely the evidence is that the machine is failing to reduce PM2.5 or it is faulty. My filter has around 2.5 months left and to be honest, I won't buy any more filters as it is a waste of my money. I'm not impressed, the lack of troubleshooting to get to the real issue is ridiculous. I will get a Philips next time, as they have good reviews and CADR. I don't know if I can claim Section 75 if I paid with a credit card, I'll have to check. But the product is not longer fit for purpose. And just to add: this was my 2nd machine. The first had a funny crackle, so my retailer replaced it. This one was boxed for about the last year until I was able to buy filters. So, I'm not impressed.

Overall, a great filter- but the VOC light

I’ve had my BlueAir 680i for just about a year an a half. As environmental allergy sufferers, the particle filtration helps me and my younger child immensely. The one persistent problem I’ve had since buying it (and BlueAir has replaced it once with a new unit, trying to remedy the problem, alas, it persists) is the VOC sensor. Apparently, my air purifier thinks my home is filled with dangerous levels if VOCs 90% of the time. Turning the fan speed up to maximum level and running for several hours does nothing to affect the light for that sensor. The VOC will just randomly turn off, then turn on again- I’ve moved it around the house and it has no affect on the sensor’s readings.

Outside of investing on a standalone VOC sensor, I’m not sure what else can be done about it. So my household just ignores the orange VOC light.

If there is a way to clean the VOC sensor or reset it somehow- I’d do it. Unfortunately, BlueAir’s only remedy has been to replace the unit with another one that has the same flaw.

Good until noisiness, then breaking after 3 years

Good until it started making whining noises after 3 years which interrupted sleep; after another year, it summarily broke; the fan no longer turns. Seems like higher-quality equipment would be useful for such an expensive machine.

    Unbalanced

I purchased two of these units. Both have unbalanced fans, causing them to wobble at low speed. One of the fans squeaks at low speed too.
