How do I reset my filter replacement indicator (red light) on my Blue Pure air purifier?

A red filter replacement indicator appears on the air purifier when it is time to change filter, after about 6 months of operation.

After you replace your filter, press the center button down to reset the filter light indicator until the red light disappears. It usually takes 7-10 seconds and may take up to 30 seconds depending on the model.

I don't know?
This allergy filter is very quiet. I have the setting at 2nd circle. Don't know if it really is making a difference. Just got it 2 days ago. Maybe I need a new machine? This is about 4 years old and is in a medium size bedroom about 13 x 11.

Keeps Me Breathing Well
I've been using the BlueAir 411 since early in the pandemic. I've been really happy with how clean it keeps the air in my bedroom. I have a bad dust allergy and I started using their allergen block filter - a step up from the starter filter - about 2 years ago. I've seen it cuts down dust even further!

Works, I think?
I dislike when putting on the filter it scraps on the machine and flakes, bleh. I am not aware of how sufficient the air purifier is? Ah, but I know it does help so. I wish filters were reusable or eco-friendly bidegradable. I feel bad every time I throw away a filter. Anyway, hope the review helps someone decide. I use air purifiers because my cat has asthma and I own two cats (stinky litter room).
