The air quality indicator may register 0 if the sensor does not detect particles above its threshold. This can happen in certain environments, and having plants in the house is not likely to affect the sensor readings. To ensure accurate performance, we recommend gently cleaning the sensor area with a soft brush or cotton swab, and making sure the unit is placed in an open space at least 2 feet away from walls or objects.
